The Duke of Sussex returned to the UK to mark the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

Prince Harry delivered a speech at Chatham House on July 7, but the timing of the event couldn’t have been worse. The Duke of Sussex stepped on to the stage to address spectators at an event held in London about his Invictus Games, when the news broke that he had lost his case against the publishers of the Daily Mail.
Despite the blow, the Duke of Sussex stuck to his script and delivered a passionate speech. But according to body language expert, Judi James, Harry showed visible signs of regret as the royal appeared “wounded” in a bombshell moment.
Speaking exclusively to Sky Vegas, the expert analysed the duke’s first on-air appearance since returning to the UK.
“Harry is a passionate supporter and speaker for this event that he holds close to his heart, but giving a speech today in London, there were nearly ten cues or clues to how he was really feeling underneath the motivational words.

“As he walked to the stage, Harry began a series of checking auto-contact rituals that suggested a desire to self-soothe and self-calm. He touched the knot of his tie, then he touched the tie again and his jacket as he stood behind the lectern,” Judi remarked.
“As he started to speak, there was a scratching of his waist before he appeared to shrug his shoulders and puff his chest in what looked like a confidence re-boot.”
She continued: “The hand went to the side of his belt again, and then when he had finished his speech, there was a very low-key exit from the man who is massively popular with this audience.”
In a bombshell moment, the expert suggested the duke appeared distracted by events outside the Invictus Games, saying he felt regretful.
Judi noted: “His eyes fell downward and he sucked his lips inward in a gesture normally associated with regret.
“His lips continued to work away as he collected his notes and he walked off stage in a low-key, unsmiling way rather than his usual smiling, cheeky, personable type of sign-off to applause.”
She concluded: “As he stepped off stage and across the floor he placed his hand across his chest or heart, suggesting either loyalty to his Invictus group or feelings of being wounded from outside events.”
When Harry left Chatham House, following his speech, he was all smiles as he waved at the cameras.
