According to reports, the large purple mark around his eye is believed to be the result of a “non-serious medical condition”. The 66‑year‑old former Prince was seen on Thursday driving his Land Rover near Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, accompanied by another man and a dog inside the vehicle, reports The Times.

Andrew has made very few public appearances since a security incident on the estate last month. At the time, the disgraced royal had been out walking the late Queen’s corgis near the Sandringham grounds when someone unexpectedly approached him, prompting the scare.

Mr Mountbatten‑Windsor was out walking his dogs when the alleged incident occurred shortly after 7.30pm on Wednesday, 6 May.

The former Duke of York is still the subject of a police investigation after being arrested at his Sandringham Estate residence in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

He was arrested on his 66th birthday on Feb 19 and released under investigation after spending more than 12 hours in police custody. He denies any wrongdoing.
