The musician’s work on Loki also won praise from international critics.

The Washington Post claimed: “Loki is beautifully scored by British composer Natalie Holt, who delivers a mostly suspenseful and mysterious vibe while providing Marvel’s horned menace with a theme song that might just be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s best.”

Despite all her accolades and impressive film and TV credits, the violinist will always be remembered for the time she pelted Simon with eggs on Britain’s Got Talent.

The moment happened during the live final in 2013, when Natalie was performing with an orchestra as opera duo Richard and Adam sang The Impossible Dream.

She later revealed how she snuck the eggs onto the stage in her violin case.

Then, as Richard and Adam sang, Natalie calmly walked on stage smiling and started throwing eggs at Simon.

The head judge was later seen taking his jacket off to look at the damage.

Natalie was quickly escorted off stage by security, and the show carried on.

Speaking after the controversial incident, the musician told the Guardian at the time: “My actions were intended as a non-violent, egg-based protest because I think Cowell has too much power and influence in the entertainment industry.

“I also just wanted to make him look a bit silly…”

Natalie went on to explain that her egg-throwing antics had caused her to miss out on high-profile work opportunities.

She explained: “The consequences of my prank have already turned out to be more serious than I had anticipated. I have already had work cancelled.”

Natalie also revealed she apologised to Richard and Adam.

She said she had originally planned to throw the eggs at Simon after they had finished singing, but she “got nervous” and decided to “get on with it”.
