Peter Phillips’ wedding is one of the hottest tickets in town, but one vital Royal won’t be there amid family rift rumors.

Peter Phillips is set to marry for the second time in just a few days, and while numerous members of the Royal Family are expected to appear on the highly anticipated guest list, there is one notable absence: Prince Harry.
The ceremony between Princess Anne’s son and Harriet Sperling will take place this Saturday, June 6, at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, in Gloucestershire. Sources have already disclosed that four controversial royals will not be making the trip to the Cotswolds. The excluded list includes the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the former Duke and Duchess of York.
While Harry and Peter seemed to share a bond during their younger years, the pair have reportedly not “spoken in years.” Harry’s exclusion from the event comes after eagle-eyed fans of the Royal Family noticed his and Meghan’s wedding portrait missing from King Charles’ Highgrove home.
Emily Nash, Hello! magazine’s royal editor, spoke to Page Six about Peter’s wedding and offered insight into the “real reason” behind Harry’s latest exclusion.
She told the outlet, “I think it comes down to interpersonal relationships, doesn’t it? What we were told was that Peter hadn’t spoken to Harry for the last few years. And so it sort of has been a natural cooling off, and he wasn’t invited as a result,” reports the Express.

Ms Nash noted that, unlike the estranged Duke, Peter maintains a “very close” relationship with his older brother, the Prince of Wales.
She said, “[Peter is] very loyal; he’s very protective. He’s been a very good sounding board to his cousin over the year. So it absolutely makes sense that I think had both Wales brothers been there, it would have put a completely different slant on the whole event.”
“And that’s not what you want on what should be the happiest day of your life, right?” she added.
Describing the snub as a “smart move,” the royal editor suggested that had Harry attended the wedding, he would have become the “absolute focal point” of Phillips’ special day.

A spokesman for the couple released a statement regarding the upcoming nuptials: “Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today announced their wedding date.”
“The summer wedding will take place at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, on Saturday 6th June 2026 in a private ceremony. Both families have been informed jointly of the wedding date by invitation,” continues the statement.
“Their Majesties The King and Queen, The Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the announcement. Further details will be announced in due course,” concluded the message.
