WHITE House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has welcomed the birth of her second child.
Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, added a beautiful baby girl to their growing family – and made their adorable son Niko an older brother.
“She is here, and she is perfect,” Leavitt captioned a photo on Instagram as she’s seen coddling baby Viviana in her nursery.
Leavitt revealed she welcomed baby “Vivi” on Friday and that her family’s “hearts instantly exploded with love.”
“She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister,” the White House press secretary added.
“We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.
“Thank you to everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy – I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.”
Leavitt, 28, the youngest press secretary in the White House’s history, stepped away from her duties on April 27 as she and her family awaited the arrival of their precious baby girl.
She made history by becoming the first ever White House spokesperson to become pregnant while in office.
In her pregnancy announcement over the Christmas holiday, Leavitt gushed about the support she’s felt from President Donald Trump’s staff.
She said she was “extremely grateful” to Trump and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles “for fostering a pro-family environment in the White House.”
Leavitt was forced to delay her maternity leave, working right up until the final week, after another alleged attempt on Trump’s life brought her back to the office for a press briefing.
The fiery spokesperson already returned to work on Trump’s campaign just three days following the birth of Niko after the president was nicked by a bullet in the first harrowing near-miss assassination attempt.
Leavitt has not confirmed how much time she’ll take away from the podium this time around.
Her deputy Anna Kelly – a former beauty queen who has served on communications teams for several Republican campaigns – is expected to fill in for some of her tasks but no official replacement has been announced.
Taylor Rogers and Liz Huston, who are both assistant press secretaries in the White House, could also take to the podium while Leavitt enjoys her first weeks at home.
In March, Leavitt, who is from New Hampshire, threw a baby shower – and prominent women from the Trump administration were in attendance.
Washington DC US Attorney Jeanine Pirro, Fox News host Rachel Campos Duffy, and former Attorney General Pam Bondi were among those who shared their well-wishes.
Leavitt isn’t the only woman in the White House whose family is getting bigger.
Second Lady Usha Vance is set to welcome her fourth child, a baby boy, with Vice President JD Vance in late July.
Leavitt doesn’t speak much about her relationship with Riccio, who is a self-made real estate developer in New Hampshire.
However, she previously opened up about telling her parents about her much-older lover.
Speaking with the New York Post, the press secretary admitted, “It’s definitely a challenging conversation to have at first.”
However, she insisted her parents quickly fell in love with him after witnessing how he treated her.
“Now, we’re all friends,” she said.
“It’s a typical family relationship, and my husband has such respect for my parents and the way that they raised me.
“We all have a lot of fun together when they come visit.”
