Josh skyrocketed to fame back in 2012 after co-hosting the comedy show The Last Leg.

The Sun revealed last week that the star was poised to sign a big-money deal to join the hosting line-up alongside Emma Willis, 50.
A source told us Josh would “bring the comedy they need like Claudia Winkelman.”
But now, Josh has appeared on Good Morning Britain and has cleverly skirted around officially confirming the job.
He said: “Ed, do not believe what you read in the papers. You’re both public figures you’re aware of this but we’re all thinking about who we would want obviously.
“It’s lovely to be linked with the role it’s an impressive thing to have on your cv.
“I think I’d do a lovely job. If I was casting it I’d look for a couple that have got strictly heritage, two stars of the ballroom, chemistry, weekends off, experience in live tv, only one couple I can think of and they’re sitting in front of me.
“It would be lovely to be the next presenter of Strictly.”
Susanna and Ed Balls then joked that he wasn’t confirming or saying no.
Presenter Ed joked: “His agent must still be in negotiations then.”
Josh continued: “Look I’m glad to be linked with the role, I’m glad you’re having fun with it.
“I would love to do it of course… but I think we’d all love to do it.”
Susanna questioned: “Why are you holding out, just sign the contract?”
Josh looked a bit uncomfortable as he awkwardly laughed.
He added: “We are all still to find out.”
The Sun’s source said: “Josh has been offered the job alongside Emma, and it’s his for the taking. He entered the running a little later than the others, but he nailed the chemistry tests.
“Josh is so good at live TV thanks to co-hosting The Last Leg on Channel 4 and he’s also quick-witted, kooky, awkward and funny.
“The BBC have told Josh he’s the man they want for the job.”
Strictly fans have slammed the new line-up after it was revealed with some claiming “it’s the end of the show.”
“Not a huge fan of Josh Widdicombe! Definitely not for Strictly! There are better presenters out there far better than him! I’m afraid Strictly Come Dancing is doomed!”, one fumed.
Another bluntly said: “Emma & Johannes I can see but I really do not see where Josh fits into this. Don’t think he’s a good fit here. Rylan must have said no.”
Josh, 43, is no stranger to Strictly, and signed up to the 2024 Christmas special after his super-fan daughter urged him to take part.
He scored 36 after dancing a Charleston with his pro partner Karen Hauer — but lost out to drag artist Tayce, who landed a perfect 40.
