It has been long claimed that Sarah and Andrew had multiple affairs throughout their marriage but reports allege that Sarah’s fling with John Bryan happened right under Andrew’s nose. Famously Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor once described themselves as the “happiest divorced couple ever,” yet it’s no secret that their relationship was far from controversy free.

While Fergie’s infamous toe-sucking photos with her American lover John Bryan were widely seen as the scandal that finally ended their marriage, new claims suggest that both Andrew and Sarah had affairs. According to reports, Andrew is said to have slept with more than a dozen women during the first year of their marriag

Despite claims of mutual infidelity, Andrew and Sarah have stayed close over the years, even though a series of scandals led to Fergie being excluded from the inner royal circle for many years.

Although Sarah fell “head over heels” for her secret lover John Bryan, she was reportedly left “hysterical” when Andrew called to announce their separation – apparently insisting that it wasn’t his own decision, the Mirror reports.

While Fergie may have been heartbroken her marriage with Andrew was coming to an end, her romance with Bryan is said to have taken place right under the former royal’s nose, with Andrew none the wiser that his wife’s lover was staying in their home with them, reports The Daily Record.

In his memoir Fergie – Her Secret Life, former friend Dr Allan Starkie claimed that Andrew, who was unaware of his wife’s new romance, continued to share a bedroom with her at Sunninghill Park, their Windsor home gifted by the Queen.

The author claims that Bryan had positioned himself as somewhat of a business advisor for Sarah, aiming to help maximise profits from her children’s book Budgie the Helicopter.

According to the Daily Mail: “When John Bryan came to stay at Sunninghill, he and Sarah would indulge in sex acts in Andrew’s study after the prince had gone to bed. She didn’t care. ‘Vulgar, vulgar, vulgar,’ stormed the Queen’s former private secretary, Lord Charteris.”

Meanwhile, the explosive biography of Andrew and Sarah, ‘Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York’ by Andrew Lownie – revealed that after Sarah’s affair with Bryan became public, the former duchess was reportedly berated by her sister-in-law, Princess Anne.

“There was not one voice raised against Anne. Andrew’s anger melted into sadness, and he buried himself in the special reports compiled for the Queen, which she did not hesitate to let him read.”

A former staff member, who said they were present when Sarah faced the late Queen herself, was quoted as saying: “She acted in the strangest way.

“You would have thought she was the person wronged, as if she had every right to go on holiday with another man, kiss and cuddle him, and the only person who had behaved wrongly were the photographer and the editors of the newspapers who had published the pictures.”

The former couple were forced out of Royal Lodge and finally went their separate ways. Disgraced Andrew recently moved to Marsh Farm, on the Sandringham Estate.
